Invisalign
The clear alternative to braces.
Invisalign are clear aligners personalised to fit your orthodontic needs and will gradually move your teeth into alignment. You could see changes in your new smile in as little as 6 months! Clear aligners have a big advantage: you can take them out when you eat and when you want to clean and floss your teeth. And unlike braces, there are no metal brackets or wires.
To determine if Invisalign is a suitable option for you, book a consultation with us today.
WHAT IS INVISALIGN?
Invisalign represents a cutting-edge approach to orthodontic care, utilising a sequence of transparent, snug-fitting plastic trays to gradually shift your teeth. These progressive aligners, made from medical-grade, BPA-free plastic, are engineered to make minor adjustments to your teeth’s positioning over time.
Thanks to modern computer-aided design and manufacturing techniques, each aligner set is personalised to the individual. One of Invisalign’s standout features is the near-invisibility of the aligners, allowing for a more private treatment experience. They’re also relatively comfortable and can be taken out for cleaning.
For optimal results, the aligners should be worn throughout the day, except during meals and dental hygiene routines. Following your dentist’s guidance is crucial to prevent any setbacks in the treatment timeline. Depending on the complexity of your dental issues, the treatment can last anywhere from 3 to 24 months.
IS INVISALIGN THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR ME?
With over two decades in the market, Invisalign has evolved and been fine-tuned, enhancing its teeth-straightening capabilities.
Invisalign’s ground-breaking aligners can address a wide range of dental concerns, both significant and minor. Consider Invisalign if you:
- Seek a rapid solution – For minor issues like a slightly misaligned tooth or a small gap, Invisalign could provide a correction in just 3 to 6 months.
- Desire a treatment that complements your lifestyle – With Invisalign, there’s no need to feel self-conscious about wearing braces.
- Aim for the perfect smile you’ve always wanted – Invisalign is particularly favoured among adults for its discreet and convenient nature.

More Information on Invisalign
Am I a candidate for invisalign?
To discover if invisalign is a suitable option for you, we recommend a consultation with one of our experienced dentists.
At your consultation our dentists will determine if you are a candidate for Invisalign by assessing your oral hygiene, your bite and position of your teeth.
Does Invisalign hurt?
You will generally feel mild discomfort when you first place your Invisalign aligners and when you switch to a new tray. Some tips to minimise discomfort are:
- Stick to softer food such as milkshakes and smoothies for the first few days
- Place new aligners jsut before bed so you sleep off the first 8 hours of tenderness
- Use an over-the-counter pain relief medication
- If a sharp edge of the aligner is hurting you, contact our office so that we can adjust that part of the aligner
How often should I change my aligners?
Your Invisalign aligners are generally changed every 2 weeks. However our dentist will provide you with specific instructions that will work best for your orthodontic needs prior to commencement of treatment.
Can I eat or drink while wearing the Invisalign trays?
The Invisalign aligners should be removed when eating or brushing/flossing your teeth. Except for cold water, it’s not recommended to drink other hot or cold beverages as this can stain or damage the aligners.
Do I need to pay for my Invisalign upfront?
At Pimpama Dental, you can pay off your Invisalign treatment over 12 months. Contact us for more information.
